My initial interest in photography came while traveling abroad. I became preoccupied with all the ways I could use my camera to uncover the world's many personalities and guises, and in doing so I took photographs of everything I could. I became passionate about photography through my documentation of the world with a camera. When I returned home, I decided to go to school for photography.
I received my BFA at Oregon State University with an emphasis in drawing, and I also received Certificate of Digital Photography at Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts. I started my photography career in Boston, photographing weddings and events. In 2010, I waved goodbye to Boston through the window of my car as I set off to drive across the country, camera in hand. I landed in San Francisco where I still reside today. I have been steadily photographing weddings, portraits, and events in the San Francisco Bay area, and I love what I do more and more each day.
